Near-point Stress Contributes to Myopia
It is due to near work for prolong periods at closer than 40 cm without taking a break.
Or on the computer for
prolong periods at closer than 50 cm without taking a break.
It contributes to myopia when it is stuck in near focus mode.
The culprit is the excess
tension of the oblique muscles.
It contributes to progressive myopia besides myopia which is more prevalent in children.
